Gr8 vid m8.I used to take mum on holidays and your vid made me shed a few tears as mum died 2 years ago.U only get one mum and she won’t be around forever so make the most of it now.Me and my brother went to Brussels a few years ago.The atomium was amazing from the outside but not worth going in from what i remember.Sometimes the best (and cheapest) thing to is just to walk around the streets and see what’s going on.I thought i could tackle a bowl of mussels after drinking all day.BIG MISTAKE

I would also like to say thanks for posting this wonderful, down to earth clip of your vacation in Brussels. I really warmed to your mum, she’s the next Judith Chalmers. Can’t wait to see another once of your holiday clips soon. All the best and I will remember you when I am next in the Grande Place. I am off to Brussels soon.

Thank you very much for this. I’m going to Brussels for a couple of days on the Eurostar next month and this gave me a better idea than anything else I could find on YouTube of what it will really be like – e.g. mini-Europe (needn’t expect to have to devote more than an hour to it), all the people in the Grand-Place in winter, the restaurants and what chocolate shops look like.

How easy was it to find taxis, and were they expensive ?
